frenzy

I just finished registering for summer classes. I'm not really happy that I have to take them, but thats what I get for the whole semester I had off this fall. I am, however super excited about the jewlry/metalsmithing class that I'm taking. It starts in a few weeks already. Then I really will start that etsy that I've been wanting to make. I have so much stuff I've made that just sits.

My classes are all coming to an end. I have alot of work due for the final evaluations next week for the most part, but not nearly as much as I had last year. Just a few final assignments that are a little time consuming, mostly because I don't know what I'm doing. I have to make a mini animation which i'm almost finished with, and a name logo on some stationary, business cards, etc.

Work consumes my life as always, but I'm getting better at managing my time. I figured it out after a whole semester of struggling with this school vs. work battle. As soon as school is over I will have a Monday thru Friday daytime schedule and I couldn't be more excited. And that means weekends off!!

spring air

I love how beautiful the weather has been.  I can't wait for summer to be here.. 

This week has been a little crazy.  My car wants to die, but I won't let it. And work and school are still consuming my life.  The class I'm in right now has me completely uninterested and I wish I wasn't here.  I think we're having a critique on the assignment I never finished today, and I wasn't even here last week.  Only 3 more classes after this one.. 

My photo class has me stumped.  We need to do a final portfolio and I'm having trouble coming up with something.  20 unified images.. and I want to do really good.  I visited the city and Julie the bully on Sunday and made her walk around random streets to take some pictures as we rambled on and on and finally did some much needed catching up.  I want to do something more on the urban side, and with Julie's help.. I thought maybe something to do with graffiti and what not around, and then editing it to pull up the colors.  

I wish I actually had some pictures to post.. but none of interest.    

ramblings

Just another quick update while I’m in class. We’re working on a hero worship paper/project. Just a short biography, that I pretty much just finished. Now I just have to adopt a style and take some pictures. I’m doing Marth Rosler, and a lot of hers have a urban theme. She takes on a lot of heavy political and social stuff, which is pretty cool. We just got our major assignment for the semester, and that’s what I’m more worried about now. Our final portfolio.. (ahhh!) we have to have a unified theme, something we care about. Almost anything. Broad topics to vague ones, doesn’t matter as long as its something we like. I think I’ll be making a trip into the city of b.love soon for both of these. I miss my girls.

Umm.. what else? work is good. I love my new responsibilities. I’m always busy which makes the day go by faster, and its stuff that’s actually somewhat entertaining, rather than mind-numbing. I work like 40 hours a week.. and I get paid more now so my checks make me smile (and tomorrow is pay day!!) Buttt.. I don’t see my friends except for Friday and Saturday nights. And having a boyfriend seems so silly since our schedules are so opposite, and we never see each other and barely have time to even talk. But classes are over in about a month and I can’t wait. I’ve been going to the gym every night this week, which is making me feel so much better. I can really feel a difference already.

This has been super rambly, and scatterbrained. Its beautiful outside today, and I’m so ready for the warm weather to stay forever. I never want to see winter again! I've been sleeping with the windows open and I love falling asleep with the smell of fresh spring air.

just a quick one before class.
..at work, i'm working even more hours than before. however, i finally got promoted, and it will be official on sunday. i'm now a visual merchandiser.. manager status. i'm in charge of the mannequins and making sure the store is visually beautiful along with 2 other girls. and even better.. more money!
..the mom's bf has officially moved into my house. weird. he's nice i guess. he makes fun of me sometimes and we're not on that joking level yet, but whatever. i do miss being in my towel after the shower and other silly things i can't do anymore.
..met a boy last week. update later. too new still for any kind of news at all.
..so over bucks and ready for summer to come and school to be done with for a few months. i think i definately need a real art class in my life next semester.

So, its been a busy week. Class and work is taking a toll on me, and I barely have time for my friends.. so I request off on weekends. Next week is spring break, so after class today, I'm done for a little break.

The remainder of the weekend was pretty good.. and this weekend should be good. Sex toy "slumber party" friday night, and Ashley's birthday outing on Saturday night, and no classs to worry about! Just work, and hopefully a visit with some of my favorite city girls.

Friday night, I stayed home like a dork and was working on some homework. My cat had some sort of seizure and I was home alone, and had no idea what to do. Basically, she's only gotten sicker since then and is barely functioning now and won't leave my side. I feel terrible but she is being put down today or tomorrow morning.

so with my jame-dala's advice, I decided to make a blog, and keep up with whats going on via rants & photos along my city girls. I don't have the most reliable internet connection, so I might not be too up to date at most time.. I am however usually bored in class.

mine and ashley's topless tuesday (aka 9-5 workday then homework at the library) was successful yet again, even though I was up until 2am finishing a project for class at 8am this morning. I am exhausted, and having class with ONLY five people, and the most silent five people I've ever met, makes me even more tired. thank goodness i finally invested in an ipod.

i've been working harder at getting all of my work done for classes, but i'm so much less motivated here then i was in the city, and i'm working full time still. jamie helped me alot with pictures.. my kimmel center & magic garden panoramics and our tyler park escapades.
